Deaconess Cherie Snyder (Bast) was born in Salem, Massachusetts, and
has also lived in New Hampshire, Florida, and Alabama before moving to
Alamogordo in 2007. Bast has been Pagan since 1996. She was initiated
into the Alexandrian tradition by Roger Coleman of the Church of Iron
Oak, ATC. She also holds third degrees in the Sacred Grove tradition and
the Silver Lotus tradition. Currently, she serves as a Deaconess for the
Sacred Well Congregation. Bast was a Co-Coordinator for the Florida
Pagan Gathering for several years, and has also Co-Coordinated the
Sacred Well Celebration in Texas. She has taught classes and workshops
locally on advanced Pagan topics, such as shadow working, Dark Mother
energy, and different areas of the Egyptian tradition. She is currently
finishing her Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies at NMSU-A.
